Deer Scrape advice

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if more than one buck tends a scrape. If the buck that has been tending a scrape is killed will others take over that area during the rut?

Thanks for the advice. I think I killed the original owner, so hopefully several are tending it or maybe have taken it over.
